How We Work
How We Choose Our Villages
The villages you see involved in MPACT Project meet important criteria. By having requirements it helps to increase the potential of success.
Village Leadership must have the respect of their peers and seek positive change.
Education is the key to building a lasting foundation to overcome poverty.
A village must be unified to make progress, embracing positive social change.
HOW WE IDENTIFY PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS
“Sagashi,” short for Arumonosagashi, is a Japanese philosophy of empowering those in need to discover strengths and opportunities that already exist. “Sagashi” studies are completed within each Guatemalan village to honor the people, build trust, and develop understanding. By directly involving the villagers, they take ownership in their own life change, maintain their dignity, and increase in their capacity to live with purpose. This holistic approach yields important benefits:
- Successfully uses 100% of the funded products
- Strengthens the unity of the community
- Empowers sustainable change
- Sustainable true transformation is possible
HOW WE PROVE IT
The proof is in the numbers. Each of the problems identified by the people in the village has trackable data that will show improvement over time once the products are implemented. Videos, pictures, graphs and charts on our social channels, blog and website prove your investment in funding solutions is having the impact we all desire.
